Obverse description Draped bust of Libertas facing right, wearing a diadem inscribed LIBERTAS and an elaborately braided coiffure with ringlets at the nape. The legend CONFOEDERATIO HELVETICA arcs around the upper periphery, flanked by a beaded border. The date appears in the lower field, separated by two small six-pointed stars. The portrait is executed in a refined neoclassical style characteristic of Karl Schwenzer's engraving.

Reverse description The large numeral '5' occupies the central field, surrounded by a wreath of oak leaves and grape clusters tied at the base with a ribbon bow. The mint mark 'B' for Bern appears at the very bottom below the wreath, within a beaded border that runs along the coin's inner rim. The design is bold and symmetrical, conveying the denomination with clarity in the Swiss Federal Mint's established style.
