Reverse description The reverse displays a prominent Arabic calligraphic legend in the upper field reading 'Al-Saltana Al-Masriya' (Sultanate of Egypt) in decorative script. Centered below is a large bilingual denomination inscription, with the Western numeral '5' to the left and the Eastern Arabic numeral '٥' to the right, separated by an ornamental floral divider in the form of a stylized stem with foliate detail. Flanking the numeral are the words 'PIASTRES' in Latin script to the lower left and 'غروش' (Ghirsh) in Arabic to the lower right. At the base, within a scrollwork cartouche, the dual dates '1920' and '١٣٣٨' appear on either side of the central ornament, all enclosed by a beaded border.
