| Obverse description | Central field dominated by the elaborate Ottoman tughra of Sultan Abdulaziz, rendered in intricate calligraphic style with characteristic sweeping loops and vertical strokes rising prominently above the monogram. Below the tughra, the denomination is inscribed in Arabic numerals and script, reading '٥ ش' (5 Qirsh). The coin is bounded by a finely milled border of closely spaced denticles running along the inner rim. |
