Below the tughra, the denomination is inscribed in Arabic numerals and script, reading '٥ ش' (5 Qirsh). The coin is bounded by a finely milled border of closely spaced denticles running along the inner rim.

Reverse description The reverse features four lines of bold Arabic calligraphic inscription centered within the field. At the top, the regnal year number '٤' (4, indicating the fourth year of the reign) appears above the phrase 'ضرب في مصر' (Struck in Egypt), followed below by the Hijri date '١٢٧٧' (1277 AH). The legends are rendered in a confident, angular script style, and the entire design is enclosed within a uniform denticled border consistent with the obverse.
