Thomas De La Rue's involvement was standard for the States of Guernsey at this period, the island having used them continuously for decades.

Worth noting: P#60 carries only a watermark and security thread, comparatively minimal for a commemorative produced at a moment when many issuing authorities were piling on new anti-counterfeiting technology. Whether that was a budget decision or a deliberate nod to traditional production methods is unrecorded.
