Obverse description A spread-winged vulture displayed in the centre of the field, rendered in the ancient Egyptian artistic tradition, with wings fully outstretched and the head facing left. Above the vulture, the Arabic legend of the issuing state appears in stylised calligraphy, surmounted by a lotus flower motif. The denomination is indicated on either side of the central legend, expressed both in Western Arabic numerals (5 LE) to the left and Eastern Arabic numerals (٥ جـ) to the right. Dual dates are inscribed around the lower field: the Hijri year 1415 and the Gregorian year 1994, each rendered in both Western and Eastern Arabic numeral forms. The mint mark ECC appears in the lower exergue. A decorative reeded border frames the entire design.
