| Obverse description | Central design depicts a stylized globe superimposed with the minarets and facade of the Prophet's Mosque (Al-Masjid an-Nabawi) in Medina. To the upper right of the field, the denomination '٥ ج' (5 Pounds) is inscribed in Arabic. A rectangular cartouche at centre-bottom bears the legend 'جمهورية مصر العربية' (Arab Republic of Egypt). Surrounding the central design, a circular Arabic legend references the Fourth International Conference on the Biography and Sunnah of the Prophet, with the Al-Azhar institution named below. The dual dates '١٤٠٦ هـ - سبتمبر ١٩٨٥ م' (1406 AH - September 1985 AD) appear in the lower field. |
