| Obverse description | Blue and peach intaglio-printed note with an elaborate guilloche border framing the entire face. At lower centre, a seated allegorical vignette of Hibernia wearing a floral wreath, leaning against a Irish harp with a crown at its base, a sailing ship visible in the background to her right, set within a large oval cartouche inscribed 'Established 1835'.
