Issued to commemorate Ismaily SC, one of Egypt's oldest football clubs, founded in 1924 in the canal city of Ismailia. The club's centenary in 2024 provided the occasion. Ismaily has spent the bulk of its existence in the Egyptian Premier League and won the league title twice, though it is arguably better known internationally for its CAF Champions League appearances than for domestic dominance.
