| 裏面の説明 | The central field features the Egyptian Police emblem in high relief: two crossed flags — the national flag and the police flag — displayed above a winged eagle with spread wings, flanked on either side by laurel branches forming a wreath. Below the eagle, a crouching lion is depicted atop a decorative base with crossed anchors. The upper legend 'اليوبيل الذهبى لعيد الشرطة' (Golden Jubilee of Police Day) arcs across the top of the field. The dual commemorative dates '٢٥ يناير ١٩٥٢م' (25 January 1952) and '٢٥ يناير ٢٠٠٢م' (25 January 2002) appear on either side of the field, marking the fiftieth anniversary. The design is enclosed within a finely denticled border. |

Egypt's National Police Day, observed on January 25th, marks the 1952 Ismailia massacre, in which British forces killed dozens of Egyptian police officers who refused orders to surrender their weapons and barracks. The date carried enough nationalist weight that it was declared a public holiday — and, fifty years later, provided the occasion for this issue. It later became the rallying point for the January 25, 2011 uprising, lending the commemoration an irony its designers could not have anticipated.
