| 备注 |
Jamaica issued no banknotes of its own before 1920 — currency was provided by commercial banks — so the Government of Jamaica series, of which this note forms part, represents a relatively short window of Crown Colony fiscal management before independence in 1962. By the time this note was circulating, constitutional reforms were already underway and the Federation of the West Indies was being assembled, making the George VI designation increasingly anachronistic; the king died in February 1952, so any notes dated after that point were issued under a title that no longer corresponded to a living monarch.
De La Rue printed the entire Government of Jamaica series, a relationship stretching back decades and typical of British colonial currency administration in the Caribbean.
