| Obverse description | Draped bust of Ferdinand VI of Spain facing right, wearing an elaborately curled long wig and royal armor, surmounted by a royal crown at the lower truncation. A circular Jamaican counterstamp bearing the crowned cypher 'GR' (Georgius Rex) is applied at center, over the king's effigy. The surrounding legend reads FERDND VI D G HISPAN ET IND REX, separated by pellets, running clockwise from the lower left. The date 1751 appears in the lower exergual area flanked by small rosette stops, all within a plain inner border and a finely reeded outer rim. |
