正面描述 Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II wearing the George IV State Diadem, with pearl drop earrings and a pearl necklace, engraved in high relief after the portrait by Joel Iskowitz. The hair is rendered in fine flowing waves beneath the ornate crown. The surrounding legend reads ELIZABETH II · FIVE POUNDS · ALDERNEY C.I., with the date 2019 positioned in the lower exergue. A beaded inner border frames the entire design, and the engraver's initials JI appear below the truncation.

附加信息

The original Una and the Lion sovereign design by William Wyon appeared on the 1839 "proof only" five-pound piece issued for Queen Victoria's coronation — widely considered the most beautiful British coin of the 19th century. It never circulated. Wyon drew on Spenser's Faerie Queene, casting the young queen as Una leading a lion, and the image went largely dormant for over 150 years before modern mints began revisiting it obsessively.

Alderney's use of the motif is one of dozens of contemporary restrikes and tributes from various Crown Dependencies and Commonwealth issuers competing for the collector bullion market after 2013. The KM# 247 attribution places this squarely in a crowded field.
