The "Completer" coin closed out the Royal Mint's ten-piece Queen's Beasts bullion series, which ran from 2016 to 2021 and drew heavily on the heraldic beasts sculpted by James Woodford that stood at Westminster Abbey for Elizabeth II's coronation in 1953. Rather than introducing a new beast, the Completer incorporates all ten — a design decision that made it the natural capstone purchase for series collectors and drove secondary market premiums well above spot on release.
The .9999 fineness is notably purer than the .958 Britannia standard the Mint had used for decades before upgrading its bullion silver to four-nines in 2013.
