| Descrizione del rovescio | The reverse, designed by Thomas Docherty, presents a dramatic composition commemorating the State Opening of Parliament. In the upper portion of the field, two large ceremonial banners or flags billow dynamically across the scene, adorned with heraldic devices including a lion and floral motifs. Below, the distinctive silhouetted skyline of the Palace of Westminster is rendered in bold relief, with the Victoria Tower prominent at left and other Gothic spires punctuating the horizon. Occupying the lower half of the field in large serif lettering is the quotation 'MY LORDS, PRAY BE SEATED', the traditional command issued at the commencement of the State Opening ceremony. |
