Obverse description The fourth definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, modelled by Ian Rank-Broadley, is depicted in right-facing truncated bust, wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara. The engraver's initials 'IRB' appear below the truncation. The peripheral legend reads 'ELIZABETH·II·D·G·REG·F·D' along the upper left arc, with 'FIVE POUNDS' descending along the right and the date '2011' continuing along the lower right, all rendered in sharply struck raised lettering against a deeply mirrored proof field.
