| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse presents an allegorical composition designed by John Bergdahl, featuring two cherubs heralding the arrival of Princess Charlotte, flanking a central cartouche bearing her name. The surrounding decorative elements are inspired by the historic Lily Font, the golden baptismal vessel employed in royal christening ceremonies since 1841. The royal motto 'DIEU ET MON DROIT' appears along the lower arc, accompanied by the date 2015 and the engraver's initials 'JB'. The design is executed in high relief with fine ornamental detailing befitting a commemorative proof issue. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Issued to mark the christening of Princess Charlotte in July 2015, this piece was produced as part of the Royal Mint's expanding commemorative program that had grown considerably since the 2013 birth of Prince George. Charlotte was christened at St. Mary Magdalene Church on the Sandringham estate, following a royal tradition established in the nineteenth century.
The Spink reference L41 places it squarely in the modern collector series rather than circulating coinage — these pieces were never intended for anything but cabinet storage from the day they shipped.
