| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse, designed by Laura Clancy and executed in full colour, presents a bold close-up study of a red Flanders poppy filling the majority of the field, its crinkled petals and dark stamens rendered in vivid naturalistic colour against the polished silver ground. The composition is deliberately cropped to emphasise the texture and form of the bloom, evoking the commemorative symbol of Remembrance. The word REMEMBRANCE appears in large serifed capital letters along the lower arc of the field, partially overlapping the coloured design, while the engraver's initials L.C. are discreetly placed to the upper right of the floral motif. |
