Reverse description The reverse, designed by Stephen Taylor, presents a poignant Remembrance Day composition divided horizontally into two registers. In the upper field, the commemorative inscription occupies three lines across the open field. Below, a naturalistic meadow scene features five Papaver rhoeas (red poppies) with their stems, buds, and foliage rendered in fine relief against the polished proof surface; three of the poppies are depicted in full bloom above the horizon line and are enhanced with vivid red colourisation, while a fourth colourised bloom appears in the lower register. The designer's initials ST appear in the lower right field.
