Aanvullende informatie

The Royal Air Force was formally established on 1 April 1918, created by merging the Royal Flying Corps and the Royal Naval Air Service — a merger that the Admiralty fought bitterly and never fully accepted. Jersey's position in the Channel Islands made RAF operations particularly consequential for its residents; the islands were the only British territory occupied by Germany during the Second World War, and liberation in May 1945 came partly through air superiority the RAF had spent years building.

KM#361b is the silver iteration of a multi-composition release, with base metal and gold variants struck alongside it in the same centenary program.
