| 正面描述 | Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II wearing the Coronation Crown, rendered in high relief after the portrait by Jody Clark. The legend is arranged in two concentric rows encircling the effigy: the inner row bearing the sovereign's name and royal titles in Latin, and the outer row carrying her coronation oath in English. The engraver's initials JC appear within the field, and the date 2022 and issuer ALDERNEY C.I. are incorporated into the legend. |

| 背面描述 | Central effigy of Queen Elizabeth II seated in full regalia upon the Coronation Chair, holding the orb and sceptre, wearing the Imperial State Crown and robes of state. The throne is depicted with elaborate Gothic tracery and flanked by two heraldic lion supporters at its base. The inscription PLATINUM JUBILEE arcs around the left and right of the field, the denomination £5 appears in the lower exergue, and the engraver's initials JC are positioned to the lower right of the central device. The design evokes the classic enthroned sovereign motif associated with British coronation iconography. |

Alderney's commemorative program has long operated as a licensing arrangement rather than a genuine monetary authority — these pieces are legal tender in name only, issued under Crown Dependency status but produced and marketed entirely by the Pobjoy Mint and similar private contractors. The Platinum Jubilee marked 70 years on the throne, a milestone no other British monarch had reached.
Elizabeth II acceded on 6 February 1952, though the coronation itself did not occur until June 1953 — a distinction that occasionally trips up the jubilee arithmetic.
