The central motif features the shield of the Order of the Garter, inscribed with the motto HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE within a circlet, surmounted by the Royal Crown. Flanking the shield is a dynamic procession of horse-drawn state coaches and mounted cavalry rendered in high relief, sweeping around the field in a ceremonial arc. The dates 1952 and 1992 appear prominently to the right, commemorating the fortieth anniversary of the Queen's accession. The circular legend around the periphery reads H.M. QUEEN ELIZABETH II · FORTIETH ANNIVERSARY OF REIGN 1952 1992. |
