| 背面描述 | A large, centrally positioned rendition of St. Edward's Crown occupies the field, depicted in fine detail with its distinctive arched form, orb and cross pattée surmount, ermine-trimmed band, and jewelled circlet. The regnal commencement date 1952 appears to the left and the commemorative date 2015 to the right of the crown, flanking the surmount. The inscription ONE CROWN is positioned along the lower periphery within a beaded border. The engraver's initials JB are discretely placed at the lower right of the crown's base. |

Issued to mark Elizabeth II surpassing Queen Victoria's reign length on September 9, 2015 — at that point 63 years and 216 days — this piedfort was struck in a limited edition of just 125 pieces worldwide. The platinum piedfort format, double the thickness of a standard proof, was reserved for the most significant commemorative issues in the Royal Mint's program, and few occasions in that decade warranted the designation more unambiguously.
At 125 pieces, it remains one of the lowest-mintage platinum issues the Royal Mint has released in the modern commemorative era.
