Aanvullende informatie

Struck in 2016 to mark Elizabeth II surpassing Queen Victoria's 63-year reign, this Gibraltar issue appeared during a period when the territory's commemorative output was prodigious enough to invite collector skepticism. Gibraltar's minting authority has long exploited its Crown Dependency–adjacent status to produce royally themed pieces that circulate almost nowhere but sell briskly to thematic collectors. Elizabeth had already passed Victoria in September 2015; the coin follows slightly behind the event itself.
