| Opis rewersu | A highly detailed architectural rendering of the Imperial War Museum's London headquarters, the former Bethlem Royal Hospital, dominates the central field, its neoclassical façade and prominent dome depicted with fine engraving. Two large naval guns are positioned prominently in the foreground, flanked by sculpted foliage and trees on either side of the building. Billowing clouds fill the upper background field behind the dome. The inscription 'IMPERIAL WAR MUSEUMS' arcs boldly around the upper periphery, while the centenary dates '1918-2018' appear in large numerals along the lower portion of the field. The engraver's initials 'DR' for David Rowlands are visible in the lower right of the design. |
