HMS Invincible's 2004 retirement was the occasion for this issue — the carrier had completed three decades of service that included the 1982 Falklands campaign, where she served as flagship for Rear Admiral Sandy Woodward's task force. The ship was sold for scrapping shortly after decommissioning, a decision that drew considerable public criticism given her operational history.
