Additional information

Henry VIII's association with Gibraltar is essentially nonexistent — he never controlled it, never campaigned there, and had no meaningful diplomatic stake in the Rock. These Gibraltar crown-sized issues from the mid-2000s were produced under a licensing arrangement specifically to generate numismatic revenue, pairing the British monarch's effigy with historical figures who sell to collectors regardless of geographic relevance.

KM#1417 is one of dozens of similar issues struck by the Pobjoy Mint on Gibraltar's behalf during this period.
