Obverse description The fourth definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, as modelled by Ian Rank-Broadley, occupies the centre of the obverse, depicting the crowned and draped bust of the Queen in right-facing profile. The Queen wears the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara and a pearl drop earring. The engraver's initials IRB appear below the truncation. The circular legend reads ALDERNEY ELIZABETH II along the upper periphery, with the regnal numeral II to the right and the date 2007 at the base of the field.
