| 背面描述 | Central composition featuring four interlaced royal cypher initials — E, C, W, and G — representing Queen Elizabeth II, Charles Prince of Wales, William Duke of Cambridge, and Prince George of Cambridge respectively, arranged in an overlapping monogram of graduated size. Each initial is surmounted by its appropriate heraldic crown: a St. Edward's Crown above E, a Prince of Wales coronet above C and W, and a smaller coronet above G. The monogram is flanked and underlaid by crossed oak branches bearing acorns and lobed leaves, symbolising strength and continuity. The circumferential legend FOUR GENERATIONS OF THE ROYAL FAMILY arcs around the upper field, with the date 2018 appearing in the lower exergue. The engraver's initials TN are present in the design field. |

Issued to mark a photograph taken by Matt Holyoak showing four generations of the Windsor line together — Elizabeth II, Charles, William, and the newly born Prince George — this coin belongs to a deliberate Royal Mint strategy of leveraging dynastic continuity as a collectible theme. The occasion was genuine enough; such a photograph was indeed taken in 2018 following Archie's birth. George's christening in 2013 produced the first version of this theme, and the Mint returned to it as Harry and Meghan's son gave them fresh commercial grounds to revisit it.
Struck to five-pound specification in 22-carat gold, the proof run was tightly limited, keeping secondary market premiums firm from issue.
