Reverse description A cruciform arrangement of four crowned heraldic shields fills the central field, each shield bearing a distinct emblem: a Viking longship at top, three legs of Man (triskelion) at centre, eagles' wings to the left, a rampant lion to the bottom, and a further heraldic device to the right. The triskelion of the Isle of Man is prominently displayed at the intersection of the four shields. Decorative floral and foliate ornaments occupy the angles between the shields. The Manx motto arcs around the periphery within a rope-pattern border, with the date in the lower field.
