Above the shields, the legend reads ENGLAND '66 - 40TH ANNIVERSARY / FIRST ROUND / 11TH JULY 1966 in the upper field, while below appears the match result ENGLAND 0 URUGUAY 0 and the venue inscription EMPIRE STADIUM : WEMBLEY : 75,000. A facsimile signature of Bobby Moore is engraved across the lower centre field, with the denomination FIVE POUNDS along the bottom arc. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Part of Gibraltar's sprawling commemorative programme marking the 40th anniversary of England's 1966 World Cup campaign, this piece covers the group stage opener against Uruguay — a match England won 2–0 at Wembley on 11 July, with goals from Bobby Charlton and Roger Hunt. The selective colour application was a selling point of the wider series rather than anything unique to this piece; Gibraltar issued individual coins for each match, creating a set that required buying in bulk to complete.
