| 背面描述 | The reverse features a three-quarter portrait of the Duke of Wellington in military uniform occupying the right foreground, depicted as a young commander. Behind him, a dynamic battle scene shows cavalry and infantry in Napoleonic-era uniforms advancing across the field. The arc legend 1769 · THE DUKE OF WELLINGTON · 1852 runs along the upper periphery, with the denomination FIVE POUNDS inscribed prominently in the upper central field, commemorating the bicentenary of the Duke's birth and the sesquicentenary of his death. |

Issued to mark the bicentenary of Wellington's most formative early campaigns, this Guernsey crown-sized piece appeared two years before the 200th anniversary of Trafalgar prompted a flood of competing commemoratives from British Crown Dependencies. Wellington himself had Irish connections exploited throughout his career — he famously and sourly denied the relevance of his Dublín birthplace — but Guernsey's claim to him rests purely on the commemorative licensing arrangements common to the island's prolific 2000s collector program rather than any biographical link.
