Additional information

Guernsey issued commemorative crown-sized pieces under its own authority throughout Elizabeth II's reign, a privilege maintained since the Bailiwick's constitutional status places it outside the United Kingdom while retaining the Crown as head of state. The Diamond Jubilee year saw a flood of such pieces from British Crown Dependencies and Commonwealth mints, making individual issues largely interchangeable in the collector market.

KM#260a designates the silver proof variant, distinguished from a base-metal circulation strike issued concurrently.
