Reverse description Central design features a stylised crenellated round tower of Windsor Castle occupying the lower half of the field, with the numeral 5 inscribed on its face and the denomination POUNDS below in the exergue area. Atop the tower, two flags are depicted on a single flagpole: the Royal Standard of the United Kingdom at the top and a smaller banner bearing the Royal Cypher E below a crown. Flanking the tower on either side are elegant sprays of oak leaves and acorns, symbolising strength and royal tradition. The entire composition is set against a deeply struck, mirror-polished proof-like field.
