Reverse description The reverse depicts a detailed architectural rendering of Buckingham Palace occupying the lower half of the field, shown in a frontal elevation with its characteristic neoclassical facade, columns, and central pediment surmounted by a flagpole. Above the palace, the supersonic airliner Concorde is shown in flight at centre, surrounded by a formation of smaller aircraft with vapour trails radiating outward in a fan-like arrangement, commemorating the Golden Jubilee flypast of 4 June 2002. A cartouche in the left field bears the date JUN 4 2002. The arc legend CONCORDE'S GOLDEN JUBILEE FLYPAST runs along the upper periphery, while FIVE POUNDS appears along the lower border.
