| Reverse description | Central design featuring four floral emblems emblematic of the constituent nations of the United Kingdom: the Tudor rose for England, the thistle for Scotland, the shamrock for Ireland, and the leek or daffodil for Wales, arranged decoratively within the field. The commemorative legend HRH PRINCE GEORGE OF CAMBRIDGE arcs around the upper portion, while the denomination FIVE POUNDS appears below the central motif. The design celebrates the birth of Prince George of Cambridge in July 2013. |

Prince George was born 22 July 2013 at St Mary's Hospital, Paddington — the same hospital where both his father and aunt were born. Jersey, as a Crown Dependency, issues its own commemorative coinage independently of the Royal Mint, and royal birth pieces of this kind were produced in coordinated limited runs across several Crown Dependencies simultaneously. The silver proof format here was struck by the Pobjoy Mint under contract, which has handled Jersey's commemorative output for decades.
