Issued to mark the 70th anniversary of Elizabeth II's public service career, dated from her first official engagement in 1947 rather than her accession in 1952 — a framing Jersey used to distinguish this issue from the flood of accession-anniversary coins already on the market. The selective gold ink application was handled post-strike, a cosmetic process that adds no collectible premium but drives retail price considerably above melt.
