| Descrizione del rovescio | A naturalistic colourised Flanders poppy, rendered in vivid red with a dark green centre, rises on a slender stem flanked by two detailed green feathery leaves, occupying the central field. The commemorative dates 1919 and 2019 are inscribed in large numerals to the left and right of the stem respectively, marking the centenary of the first Remembrance Day. The circumferential legend WE WILL REMEMBER THEM arcs around the upper and lower periphery of the coin. The engraver's initials HB for Harry Brockway appear incuse at the base of the stem. The colourisation technique highlights the poppy and foliage against the plain polished field. |
