Reverse description The reverse features St Edward's Crown, the historic crown used at the Coronation of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, prominently displayed at the centre. Encircling the crown is a wreath of forty trumpets, symbolising the forty years elapsed since the 1953 Coronation. The commemorative legend arcs around the outer border, with the dual dates 1953 and 1993 flanking the inscription below. The design, by Robert Elderton, combines heraldic precision with a celebratory composition appropriate to the 40th anniversary of the Coronation.
