Additional information

Guernsey issued commemorative crowns throughout the 2000s through arrangements with private minting companies, most commonly Pobjoy Mint, producing them in quantities calibrated to collector demand rather than circulation need. The 40th anniversary of the Apollo 11 landing generated a wave of issues from small Crown dependencies and island territories in 2009, this being one among dozens of near-identical programs.

KM#223 presents no particular rarity or minting curiosity worth noting.
