Additional information

One of four coins in a 2024 Royal Mint series marking the James Bond film franchise, this piece covers the EON Productions output from 2002 through 2008 — the Daniel Craig debut in Casino Royale and the Pierce Brosnan swan song in Die Another Day bracketing the decade. The licensing arrangement between the Royal Mint and EON is long-standing, with Bond issues appearing intermittently since 2020.

The five-pound crown format has been the Mint's standard vehicle for commemorative silver proofs since the 1990s, keeping face value nominal against a bullion-weighted silver content.
