Bank of Scotland's P#119 series ran for over a decade across five signature combinations, making it one of the more administratively busy runs in the bank's modern note history. The transition from Pattullo & Burt to Pattullo & Masterton in 1996 reflected a change at the Treasurer level, not the Governor's chair — a distinction that matters when attributing specific dated examples.
Thomas De La Rue printed the full run from London throughout, maintaining consistent production despite the extended issue period. The final Stevenson & Matthew date of January 2006 coincides with the bank's preparation for polymer trials in later series.
