Opmerkingen

The Tercentenary series, of which this note is part, was issued to mark the Bank of Scotland's 300th anniversary in 1995 — though notes in this signature run predate that year, meaning early Risk & Burt examples were already in circulation years before the commemorative intent became the defining characteristic of the set. The transition from Risk to Pattullo as Governor mid-series is straightforward administrative succession, nothing dramatic.

With over twelve million printed across four dated issues, this is not a scarce note in any meaningful sense. The 1990 Risk & Burt date is the least common of the four.
