| Description du revers | The centre of the reverse is occupied by the Bank of Nova Scotia corporate arms within an ornate shield, encircled by a guilloche border inscribed with the bank name, incorporation year '1832', and branch location. Large bold numerals '5' within intricate lathe-work medallions anchor the left and right sides, while the denomination 'FIVE POUNDS' appears in a decorative cartouche along the lower margin. The entire design is executed in dark olive-green intaglio on a plain paper ground, with the printer's imprint at the foot. |
