Opmerkingen

Bank of Ireland (UK) plc is the Northern Ireland-registered subsidiary, legally distinct from the Dublin-headquartered Bank of Ireland Group — a distinction that trips up collectors more often than it should. These Northern Ireland notes circulate as legal currency in the region but are not legal tender in Great Britain, a technicality that has stranded more than a few tourists.

De La Rue's Gateshead facility, formerly Bradbury Wilkinson, has handled Northern Irish commercial bank output for decades. The printed date of 30 April 1945 is almost certainly a catalog error — possibly a default placeholder in the database rather than the actual date on the note.
