| Obverse description | Central design features an ornate stylised tughra-like Arabic calligraphic emblem surmounted by a flame or finial motif, flanked by two circular medallions bearing additional Arabic script. Below the central device, the country name is rendered in bold interlaced Arabic calligraphy reading 'الجمهورية العربية' (Arab Republic). At the bottom of the field, the dual dating appears in Eastern Arabic-Indic numerals '١٤٠٦' (AH 1406) to the right and '١٩٨٦' (AD 1986) to the left. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded and segmented border characteristic of Egyptian commemorative coinage of this period. |
