| Obverse description | Central field bears the large Arabic numeral '٥' (5) above the word 'جنيهات' (Pounds) in stylized Arabic script. The Arabic legend 'جمهورية مصر العربية' (Arab Republic of Egypt) arcs across the upper portion of the field in flowing calligraphy. The dual date '١٤٢٥ - ٢٠٠٤' (AH 1425 / AD 2004) appears at left and right within the inner field. An ornamental floral or arabesque device is positioned at the base of the central design. The entire composition is framed by a decorative denticulated border running along the coin's inner rim. |
