Reverse description The reverse depicts a dynamic scene of an ancient Egyptian war chariot in full gallop, with the Pharaoh Ramses II standing in the chariot drawing a bow, evoking the Battle of Kadesh. The composition is rendered in high relief with fine engraved detail characteristic of Egyptian commemorative gold issues of the period. A bold Arabic legend in naskh script arcs across the upper field reading 'Revolution of 23 July 1952', commemorating the Egyptian Revolution that overthrew the monarchy. The coin was struck in two variants: one in yellow gold and one in red gold, distinguishing this issue as particularly collectible. The exergue area is clear of inscriptions, allowing the figural scene to dominate the reverse field.
