The Bank of England title in Gothic script and the promise clause appear at upper centre, with the denomination 'Five Pounds' in bold lettering at lower centre-left. |

At lower right, a transparent window bears an oval frame with a mirror-image portrait of King Charles III and the circular legend 'BANK OF ENGLAND £5 BANK OF ENGLAND'. Churchill's facsimile signature and the quotation attributed to him appear at lower centre. |
