Obverse description Green intaglio print on a guilloche underprint. The royal arms of Libya — a crowned shield bearing the crescent and stars within an ornate oval cartouche — occupies the left centre of the note. Arabic inscriptions identify the issuing authority and denomination, flanked by vignettes of palm trees and wheat ears. The denomination numeral '5' appears in floriate corner medallions, with the serial number printed in both Arabic-Eastern and Western numerals along the upper and lower margins.
